Global interest...

I always knew I wanted my new book to appeal to every retail market on the planet - so when the boss of the New Zealand Retailers Association, John Albertson, invited me to come and talk about my global research at his national conference, I had no hesitation in accepting. Being precisely on the other side of the world from London, this invite certainly fulfills my geographical ambition!

I've already visited Auckland to interview two of NZ's retail icons: Stephen Tindall and Hugh Perrett. Two powerful characters from completely different moulds, each using the unique market situation created by this unique and ruggedly beautiful country. Each celebrating some great lateral thinking in their respective success.

I'm due to speak on April 6th 2011 and from what John has told me the delegates are in for a action packed conference and retail show. I'm incredibly flattered to have been invited to join his powerful line-up of speakers - I also know Trudi Cliff, editor of New Zealand Retail Magazine, has twisted my publisher's arm and is now offering a great discount on my latest book 'The art of being chosen' in the current edition.

Please come to the Conference and Retail Show in Auckland and be sure to to say 'hello' - I'd love hear and have you share with me your local and unique retailing insights....I'm already researching my next book!

Maybe see you next April - hope so?
