Returning to the UK I was delighted to be invited back to Henley. If students and MBA scholars can't enjoy stretching their minds here they need a serious mental correction. A beautiful and serene setting by the river Thames in Oxfordshire. I was presenting with my colleague Chris Matchan - as I mentioned in my latest book, he is one of the best HR gurus I've ever worked with. Chris and his team were taking 70 or so senior managers on a journey, preparing them for their next step to a Board postion, highlighting the necessary skills they'd require. Based on my 100 or so interviews with the world's top retail leaders I was commenting on the undoubted qualities these individuals posess and the mindsets they groom for their businesses.
